The Woods Glow Past Midnight
is a two-person exhibition featuring the work of Maine-based artists Jake Benzinger and Tabitha Barnard. Through image-making, the two use the New England landscape as a set for storytelling, exploring ritual, the occult, self-created mythos, and those who glow, shine, or flicker in the night.
Drawing upon similar influences, and sharing a similar visual vocabulary, the two document a world between fiction and reality, the ominous underbelly of a place with dangers unseen, right outside our periphery.
